Xero Bookkeeper

We are the market leading outsourced Bookkeeping with Management Accounts company that was started in 1994 and continues to expand strongly. We work closely as a team of 60 staff. The successful candidate will have huge scope for developing their knowledge and skill in all areas. Our qualified accountants will support in developing your knowledge and experience.
 
We are currently recruiting for someone who knows and loves Xero as much as we do. Someone who would like to expand their knowledge of Xero and all of the Apps that it has to offer. You will also be working from home via our Cloud server. No commuting in rush hour traffic!

You would be responsible for developing and managing key relationships with clients, working with them to expand their use of Xero and helping them to assist the development of their online strategy. 
 
Requirements:
Skills:
• Xero skill – Essential 
• Bookkeeping skill – 3 years minimum
• Excel – A sound working knowledge
• Proficient use of email, calendar and the internet
• Excellent written and spoken English

• Diplomatic, discreet, polite and patient
• Punctual and reliable

Payroll Officer Home Based

Hours:  Up to 37.5 hours

Working from home and logging in remotely to a central server you will be reporting to the Payroll Manager. 
 
Your responsibilities will be as follows; 
 
The Role;
 
• Able to process up to 60/70 payrolls per month for a variety of clients using IRIS Payroll Professional       
• You will exceed our customers’ expectations by delivering top class Customer Service
• Your excellent communication skills will be fully utilised as you will be dealing with clients on a daily basis
• Our role offers a great deal of flexibility  
 
About you; 
 
• You’ll be a people person, have a real passion for payroll as well as being a great team player
• Working from home you will need to have solid time management skills  
• You should have your own home office with a good stable broadband connection
• You’ll be hungry to be part of a successful team and you’ll be proactive in your approach 
• You will have experience of working with or handling payroll in a professional environment for multiple clients 
Please note: Running a single payroll for one company, or multiple Director Only payrolls does not meet our experience requirements
• Having a payroll qualification would be beneficial but not essential

Experienced Xero and Sage Bookkeepers Required 

Location: M5 to Bristol to Cheltenham and M4 Bristol to London Corridors

Salary: Competitive, DOE

This is a great opportunity to be home based with the ability to work flexibly. We are the market leading outsourced Bookkeeping with Management Accounts company that was started in 1994 and continues to expand strongly.

We work closely as a team of 60 staff. The successful candidate will have huge scope for developing their knowledge and skill in all areas, to include both Xero and Sage. Our qualified accountants will support in developing your knowledge and experience.

You will be working from home via our Cloud server and you may also have to visit some onsite clients.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring BookCheck's policies and procedures are followed
  • Book-keeping mainly on Xero but can also work with Sage
  • Establishing and maintaining an effective working relationship with clients and colleagues
  • Processing all Sage/ Xero data and relevant paperwork
  • Reconcile all bank accounts and VAT accounts and provide figures for client VAT return
  • Post all relevant journals for the month i.e depreciation, accruals and prepayments.
  • Meet regular deadlines for both reporting and transactions, therefore excellent time managements skills are essential.

Requirements:

  • Good IT knowledge, including Excel
  • Xero - a minimum of 3 years in a working environment
  • Sage Line 50 - a minimum of 3 years in a working environment
