Anthony Pilkington FCA

FCA, Managing Director

Anthony founded the company in 1994 seeing a need for quality book-keeping together with Management Accounts. He works to win new business and has responsibility for the strategic development of the Company.

Anthony qualified as a Chartered Accountant with Coopers & Lybrand in Bristol after graduating from Bristol University where he read Economics & Accounting. He has worked for BAe Systems, Unilever, Marsh & McLennan (Bermuda), TV Times and Time Warner. He has a strong IT background, evidenced by the Company providing from as far back as 2003 what are now called Cloud services.

Zara Rayson

Office Manager

Zara's responsibilities include client and staff relations, resource management and everything else involved in the running of a busy Head Office. She also chairs the Company's management meetings. Being one of the central contact points for BookCheck's sixty or so members of staff she has also earned the title of Company Agony Aunt! Zara joined BookCheck in 2002.

 

Kate Culley

Finance Administrator

Kate works closely with Zara assisting with the day to day running of general office administration. She is also responsible for the bookkeeping of BookCheck and keeping the management databases updated. Kate has also implemented the Company Health & Safety Policy. Before joining BookCheck in 2007, Kate worked for a number of years as a payroll and price control clerk for Sainsbury's.

 

Caroline Wilson

Marketing & HR Manager

Caroline works in the BookCheck head office on our marketing strategy, helping with office administration and acting as a personal assistant to Anthony.  She also carries out annual reviews for all book-keeping staff.

Bernice Jaggard ACCA

Accountant & New Client Manager

Bernice works as an accountant for our settled clients producing the monthly BAR packs (BookCheck Advanced Reporting). She also works closely with new clients ensuring a smooth transition and tailoring our BAR pack to suit their individual requirements. She qualified with ACCA while working in practice.

David Plumb ACMA

Accountant

Prior to joining BookCheck in early 2017, David worked for a variety of SMEs as Company Accountant. His work has involved him in a number of different sectors such as: aerospace, professional services, IT and environmental services. He's married to fellow BookCheck colleague Janet.

Mel Mistry ACMA

Accountant

Mel enjoys working with SME clients from across several different sectors, charities, manufacturing and retail.

Her passion is to help clients to understand the performance of their business, by tailoring management accounting information and explaining the figures.

Nick Radcliffe ACMA

Accountant

Nick enjoys working with a wide range of clients in different business sectors, helping them to understand their business better through clear management information which helps them to control costs and improve profitability. 

Janet Plumb ACMA

Accountant

Janet has been working for BookCheck since 2005. She carries out most of the prospective client Xero or Sage HealthChecks and prepares BookCheck's own management accounts. Janet is our Excel guru.  

Suzan Brady

Supervisor

Suzan is a supervisor for BookCheck and principally looks after our clients and staff in London and Thames Valley. This involves assisting our bookkeepers and liaising with BookCheck accountants to ensure that we deliver what we promise to our clients. 

 

Keri Baker

Supervisor and Quality Manager

Keri joined the BookCheck team in early 2018 and hasn’t looked back since. As a supervisor at BookCheck, Keri works closely with bookkeepers to ensure they are supported in their work. She is our Xero guru and specialises in migrations to Xero and everything to do with Xero add-on development. This always achieves great efficiencies and often transforms the whole business.

Jen Mockridge

Payroll Manager

Jen has worked in payroll management for the last 10 years. She thoroughly enjoys the constant challenge and pace of handling multiple payrolls each month, along with the diversity that comes with different types of clients. She is our Payroll Manager heading up our team of 10 officers.

Chris Ruscoe

Payroll Supervisor

Chris is a payroll professional with 20 years of experience, from small businesses to large PLCs.

Leanne Dennison

Payroll Supervisor

Leanne joined the payroll team in June 2019 and works remotely which she enjoys as it enables her to balance her working and family life. She has 10 years of payroll experience; deciding to specialise in payroll in 2015. She became a qualified advanced payroll technician with CIPP in 2018. 

Christine Beard

Payroll Officer/Bookkeeping Administrator

Christine is a member of the BookCheck team, working as a Payroll Administrator and Bookkeeper from home. 

Cecile Murray

Bookkeeper

Cecile is a bookkeeper in the Gloucester area. 

Elizabeth Hancock

Bookkeeper

Elizabeth works as a bookkeeper at BookCheck remotely from home and onsite at clients premises. 

Louisa Nott

Bookkeeper

Louisa is a bookkeeper working with a variety of businesses. She loves going out to work at the clients premises on a regular basis, meeting their staff and being treated as part of their team.

Laura has been a bookkeeper with BookCheck since October 2016 and is based in Gloucester. 

Sue Parkhouse

Payroll Officer

Sue joined BookCheck in 2010 and has almost 20 years payroll experience. She has worked with all types of businesses. She started payroll whilst working at a firm of accountants, having previously worked as a bookkeeper. 

Sue gained qualifications in payroll with the International Association of Bookkeepers and was pleased to be awarded the top student in the country.

Lynda Williams

Bookkeeper

Lynda is a semi retired bookkeeper, having worked at BookCheck for over 12 years. She still enjoys visiting clients as well as working from home.

 

Linda Catanzaro

Bookkeeper

Linda Catanzaro is a member of the BookCheck team who has worked with the company for nearly 20 years. She is a supervisor with the Accounts team, and also works in the payroll team. She has worked with many varied and interesting clients over the years.

 

Lynne Leutton

Bookkeeper

Lynne joined the BookCheck team in November 2015 and looks after clients in the North West based in Manchester.

Laura Hayward

Laura started working in finance 20 years ago and is AAT Level 3 qualified. 

Kim Swift

Kim joined Bookcheck in 2009 and works both remotely and onsite. She is AAT qualified.

Katie is a payroll administrator for BookCheck. She has a Diploma in Payroll Management and lots of experience using various payroll systems. 

Pauline Remorino

Payroll Officer

Pauline started with BookCheck in 2007 as a book-keeper and then added payroll work. At the time she was living in Cheltenham, she is now in Chichester and was able to continue to work in exactly the same way with payrolls as everything is online.

All her working life has been in the financial sector, handling a wide range of activities, from working in a bank when she left school, to a variety of companies where she handled payroll. She has worked for a national firm of accountants as the payroll administrator.
